The Academic Preparation programme has been designed to pay particular attention to academic English skills and Dutch learning and teaching methods through participating, sharing, and simulation sessions by native-speaker Dutch- and English-language lecturers from ETC’s partner universities. A total of 30 hours of intensive sessions, spread over five days and taught in English, form the basis for a strong understanding of the Dutch educational environment. The Academic Preparation Course breaks down as: 1) 75% Academic English and competencies. 2) 25% Teaching and learning culture on campus.
The Pre-doctoral Course at the Erasmus Training Centre is a collaborative initiative led by three esteemed Dutch universities: Vrije Universiteit (VU) Amsterdam, Leiden University, and the University of Groningen. Tailored to meet the needs of Indonesian students pursuing doctoral studies in the Netherlands. This intensive course aims to enhance the preparedness of incoming and prospective Indonesian PhD candidates for their academic journeys at Dutch universities. The course focuses on developing skills in academic English writing and academic competencies, as well as providing training in soft skills. Additionally, it includes an introductory module on Dutch language, culture, and the academic environment. The pre-doctoral course is the perfect stepping-stone to pursue a prestigious doctoral degree in the Netherlands.
