ABCDutch

The ETC Acculturation Courses are designed for Indonesian students preparing to study at Dutch Higher Education Institutes. These courses focus on Dutch culture (60%) and basic language skills (40%), helping students adapt more easily to life in the Netherlands. Led by ETC lecturers, the programme also offers a great chance to meet and connect with fellow students from across Indonesia who are also heading abroad. In addition, the ABCDutch Programme prepares participants for the inburgeringsexamen (basic civic integration exam) required by the Dutch Embassy in Jakarta. It covers essential Dutch language and cultural knowledge to help ensure success in the exam and a smooth transition into Dutch society.

The ABCDutch programme (basic civic integration abroad examination preparation) is specially designed for those who want to take a preparatory course on basic Dutch language and Dutch society before taking the Basis inburgeringsexamen test at the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Jakarta.

Admission Requirements

1. For ETC students: • Minimum pass at Basic 1 level in the regular programme; • Those who have passed the Basic 1 level but have postponed more than one term (three months) are required to take a placement test before enrollment. 2.For Non-ETC students: • Those who already have the basics of the Dutch language are obliged to take a placement test before enrollment. NOTE : 1. The placement test fee is Rp. 150,000; 2. In the event of confusion or dispute, ETC management has the final say regarding entry-level requirements.
